Permanent placements

We take a detailed brief, search through an established network of chefs and hospitality professionals across Scotland and further afield, and introduce only candidates we would hire ourselves. You interview, you decide; our fee is invoiced only when your chosen candidate starts.

  1. The brief. We listen first — role, accolades, team, salary and the important details a job advert can't capture, taken properly by phone or in person.
  2. The shortlist. A small number of genuinely suitable and carefully vetted candidates, each spoken to about your specific role before their details reach you.
  3. Interview and trial. We coordinate interviews and trial shifts around service, and handle feedback in both directions.
  4. Placement. Offer managed, start date confirmed, fee invoiced on commencement.

The replacement commitment. Every permanent placement is backed by a 20-week sliding-scale replacement commitment: if a placement does not work out, we replace. Full details are set out in our Terms of Business.

Relief chefs, without the payroll layer.

Our relief service is introduction-based. We introduce an experienced relief chef for your dates; you engage and pay the chef directly at an hourly rate agreed before the stint begins, and we charge a flat weekly arrangement fee. No umbrella companies, no intermediary payroll, no inflated charge rates — a clean arrangement between your venue and the chef.

What you provide

The agreed rate paid directly to the chef, suitable accommodation for away stints, and agreed travel expenses on completion. As the engager, you operate PAYE for the period.

The right chef for your kitchen, vetted and briefed, with a replacement sourced if a booking falls through — and a conversion route if you later want to keep them permanently.
